A GODLY RELATIONSHIP

NOVEMBER 5TH, 2014

                                                A GODLY RELATIONSHIP

Today I dedicate this blog to my Wonderful Husband Roger Gundy. Today is our 21st Wedding Anniversary. Today was the day 21 years ago we announced to everyone our great love. But that love would have been nothing without the Lord. The following scripture was read at our wedding and we still abide by it.

    The Excellence of Love

13 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body [a]to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 [b]bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails; but if there are gifts of [c]prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part; 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I [d]became a man, I did away with childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror [e]dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the [f]greatest of these is love.

Today is a Bittersweet day for me. It is also the day that my dear Mother was called home to be with the Lord. Upon much prayer Rog and I both knew that Mon would want me to be married. So we continued on and the Lord did Bless us in so many ways that day.

It seems like yesterday. My wonderful son was there as well as Rogers children. I also had my family and Rogers’s family. We even flew our own Pastor in for our wedding. Art Bourgeois who had mentored me through the hard times of my life and who now was helping me into the new chapter of my life. What a wonderful day, but just like our life, not without trials. One great thing was that both of us were entering this chapter knowing the Lord and loving Him with all our heart.

As I look back over the years I see years of Love and Forgiveness. Most of all just as the scripture says Love. Without Love for each other and one another we have nothing. Rog I write this to Thank You for your Love and Support through everything we have been through. Throughout the 21 years we have met some wonderful Christian friends and have learned so much through our trials. Like the old saying The Best Is Yet To Come. As we walk this final leg of our life together may it be ALL that GOD wants for us. If everyone could Be Blessed with what we have. It is very Special and I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.
